Have a mass celebrated

Through the offering of a mass stipend attached to the request to celebrate Mass for a living or deceased person, the faithful associate themselves more intimately with the mystery of the Eucharist, the summit of the Church's activity.

The sacrifice of the cross is the only sacrifice by which men have been reconciled to God. The fruit of this sacrifice is universal: it is valid for all places and all times.

The celebration of the Eucharist in specific places and at specific times allows the effect of the paschal mystery to flow to the men who live in these specific places and who can at these particular times unite sacramentally with the unique sacrifice of Christ offered for our redemption.

Meaning of the mass offering

Asking for a Mass means placing in the hands of God the living and the deceased whom we love, as well as all our intentions: our families, our friends, priests, vocations, this or that situation, etc. It is also showing the Lord our gratitude on the occasion of an event, an answered prayer or a grace obtained (birthday, healing, conversion, etc.).

Offering a mass is usually accompanied by an offering (the offering offered is €18). God's love cannot be bought, it is infinite! By bringing an offering, the faithful can unite more closely with the Eucharistic sacrifice, the offering that Jesus makes to his Father.

By entrusting a mass offering to one of the priests of the community of the Brothers of Saint-John, you associate this priest with your prayer and you also participate in his mission and make his intercession more concrete.
